Restoration
Restoration
Our team utilizes old-world techniques to respect the origin and authenticity of your furniture. We use vintage wood and materials to replace a damaged piece. When doing the finishing, we keep as much as we can of the old patina, or we replicate it.
Wood Carving
Wood Carving
Wood carving is one of our specialties. Our master craftsman Samuel has started his career being a woodcarver and has worked for museums such as Legion of Honor museum, Chateau de Versailles which tells a lot on his savoir-faire.
Wood Turning
Wood Turning
From wheels to commode feet, or a pedestal in the picture image we’ve shared, we can reproduce any piece of turned wood. We have an extensive stock of vintage wood including oak, ebony, mahogany, walnut, maple, rosewood, burls, and more.

Marquetry - Inlay - Veneer Repair
Wood furniture refinishing and upholstery repair are common requests, but we also restore your brass, mother of pearl, and other inlays. We restore with vintage pieces using the same techniques and supplies as the original craftsman.
Grafting
Grafting
When furniture is missing a piece of wood, we replace it with wood that is the same age and of similar grain or style. Once complete we use antique finishing materials and methods including natural powder, wax, varnish, shellac, fish glue, antique gilding, and more.
French Polish
French Polish
French Polish is an 18th century technique that gives your furniture a beautiful shine.
This technique requires many hours of learning and practice.
We use a natural resin (shellac), mixed with naturalized alcohol, which we meticulously apply with polishing cotton.
Waxing
Waxing
With California’s warm and dry weather, we recommend having your antique furniture waxed once a year. To keep things simple, we come to you to complete the job. We use professional natural wax to nourish the wood and then polish the furniture to make it shine!
Touch Ups - Finishing
Touch Ups - Finishing
Keep your antiques looking their best by touching them up every 10 years or so. We preserve as much of the old patina as we can by using antique finishing materials and methods including natural powder, wax, varnish, shellac, fish glue, antique gilding, and more.
